Cooper

Ok, so lots of you have asked for Cooper's weight, so I will spill it. Cooper was 8 pounds 4 ounces. Much smaller than I thought or looked! I was defiitely expecting him to be in the 9's, but that just goes to show you the accuracy of doctor's guesses!

So far Cooper is an excellent baby. He sleeps ALL the time, and only cries when you change his diaper. He is so quiet that sometimes we forget he's in the room :) I have to knock on wood and hope he stays this way! Yesterday he did set a record by being awake for 2 hours at one time.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We still have 2 Christmas's left with Brian's side of the family.

Cooper Ryan is finally here!

So my C-section was scehduled for the morning of December 16. On the way to the hospital, I get a phone call saying that the surgery had been cancelled due to the weather, and it would be Saturday December 20 before they could get me in! I was crushed, disappointed, angry, you name it. Later that day, after several hours of pouting, I received a call from my doctor saying there had been a misunderstanding and to be at the hospital that evening at 6:30 for my surgery. Finally at 8:54 p.m. Cooper was here.

We got to come home Thursday morning, and knock on wood, all has been great. Throughout my whole pregancy I prayed for a healthy, easy baby. Cooper is both. I am hoping things stay great, and that this is not the calm before the storm.

The time is getting close......

Well, there are 8 more days to go, and then we will have a baby! Most people at the office had bets, and didn't think I'd make it past October, but here I am still pregnant. I am proud to say that everything is done. The bags are packed, and every single article of baby clothing has been washed. I have finally finished the nursey, but guess what, the digital camera is full, so you will have to wait to see the nursery. I probably won't blog again until sometime after the baby gets here because I am worn out. I will let you guys know when baby Campbell arrives!

Gearing Up for Baby #2

I worked from home yesterday, which was a blessing because things that needed to be done for a long time actually got done. While Braden was napping, Brian and I decided to finally put the crib together! I only have 20 some days left, and no nursery for baby, so it was about time. I am in the process of washing the bedding, disinfecting old things that were Braden's, washing clothes, and all that other good jazz. I hope to have the nursey done by the weekend, so stay tuned for pictures........

Baby Shower

On Sunday, my wonderful friend Mandy threw me a baby shower. Several of you have asked for pictures of my ridiculously large belly, so here you go. No laughing!

Halloween Costume Switcheroo

It has been a tradition at our house for the last 2 years for Braden to change his mind at the last minute and decide that he doesn't want to wear the costume we bought for him. Instead, he picks out something already in his closet, and I end up thinking of how much money I could have saved. This year my husband warned me it would happen again, but I was hopeful that this go round would be different. Well, as usual I was wrong. Braden wore the Halloween costume to school for the party, but when it was time to trick or treat, he wanted to be a football player. So, if your wondering why Braden is wearing 2 costumes in the Halloween pictures, now you have your answer.

The Pumpkin Patch

So today I got to experience the pumpkin patch for the first time ever. Braden has been the last 2 years with school, but they always seemed to go on a day when I could not get off. We started the day off with pig races (which were absolutely hillarious), then went on a hayride, to the petting zoo, and finished off with the hay play area and finally picking a pumpkin. Braden had a blast, and I had a blast watching him take it all in with his buddies. Days like this remind you of how important it is to spend time with family....

News

Well, I went in for the much anticipated ultrasound yesterday. I am proud to announce that it is still just one baby; the doc did not miss another one thank goodness!! I am 30 weeks, but the ultrasound showed the baby around 33 weeks. At this point, the baby is supposed to weigh around 2.5 pounds, but the ultrasound showed that he weighs a little over 4! Guess what, I am going to give birth to a linebacker. We also scheduled my C-Section for December 16. I am really counting down the days now. Only 9 weeks to go.............

Happy Couple

Ok so this is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I think they'll be together forever.

Twins, please no........

So today I went to the doctor for my normal baby check-up. I am now going every 2 weeks, instead of every 4 weeks, which I love because I get to hear the heartbeat more often now. Well anyway, as usual, they measured my belly to see what I was measuring at. This time, after measuring, the doctor just looked at me with a strange look on his face. Definitely not reassuring, so I am close to the point of freaking out, when he asks, do you have twins in your family? Ok, now I'm really freaking out. The doctor said that while I am supposed to be 28 weeks, I am measuring 32! What! Now a whole 4 weeks ahead. The doctor told me that they will do an ultrasound at my next visit so he can figure out what's going on. Please let it be just one, two would rock my world! The doctor did say if it is just one, my due date is wrong, or he is going to look like the Michelin baby when he's born. Please pray that I will not be the woman in the papers who gives birth to a 14 pound baby!

Big Boy Furniture

Well we finally bit the bullet and ordered new "big boy" furniture for Braden last week. It was supposed to take 3 weeks to come in, but no, it came in yesterday. Was I ready, of course not! So, we spent yesterday and last night rearranging Braden's room and putting together the big boy furniture. Braden has been in a full size bed since he was 1, but for some reason, the new headboard and footboard made his room a totally different place to him. He was so excited about it, that I think he invited all the neighbors he saw walking about last night inside to check it out. Now I suppose its time to get the nursery started for the little man.

Baby Campbell #2 on the Way

We are almost in November, and there is not much time until the fourth Campbell joins our crew. The new addition is scheduled to arrive the week of December 15, but people in the office have polls going on when I will actually deliver. Most people have November as their guess, but I still think it will be the first week of December. Braden is excited about his baby brother and can't wait for Santa Claus to drop him off. He has decided that he wants to name his brother frito, but we all know that won't happen. The poor child already has an emberassing nickname and he hasn't even entered the world yet!
